The School Journalist
This cliche usually lasts in a single episode of a TV show. This time the main character becomes a villain (well, sort of).
1. Main character becomes a journalist for the school paper (complete with cliche reporter hat).
2. Main character then reports boring stories that somehow ends up as the school newspaper's headline.
3. The Editor (complete with cliche editor attitude, voice and clothes) then proceeds to inspire main character to report better news. Something that would sell. (Yay, hey kids, make a lot of money!)
4. Main character goes on to report a string of manipulated and untruthful news(tabloid style!) about his friends. Newspaper sells like crazy but friends affected badly.
5. Main character's friends angry at main character for writing horrible stories about them.
6. Main character is sad. He wants to quit and tells the editor his problem. Editor gives him another inspiring speech and tells him that sometimes, the truth is the best news.
7. Main character goes back to writing boring but truthful stories. His friends like him again and the newspaper sells like hotcakes.
THE END!
